SAN ANTONIO – One person was killed in a rollover wreck on Highway 281 north of downtown, according to San Antonio police.
The crash happened just after 12:15 p.m. Monday on the southbound lanes of the highway, between St. Mary’s and East Josephine streets.
Details about what caused the crash are unknown, but police said one vehicle was involved and one person was confirmed dead.
At this time it is unclear if anyone else was injured.
The Texas Department of Transportation says the southbound lanes are closed at St. Mary’s Street as authorities work to clear the scene. The Highway 281 southbound entrance ramp from St. Mary’s Street is also closed, police said.
Drivers are urged to use an alternate route.
