Veterans and active duty military members can take advantage of a $10 off discount when dining at one of San Antonio’s 54th Street Grill & Bar locations on Friday. Proof of military service is appreciated by the restaurant. Pro tip: military service members, health care workers, and first responders can receive a discount year-round. Be sure to ask your server about the details.

Fogo de Chão

Treat yourself to a more high-end dining experience this Veterans Day and dine at Fogo de Chão. Located at the Shops at Rivercenter, the Brazilian steakhouse will offer veterans and active duty personnel half-off food items as well as 10% off food items for up to three guests. With plenty of locations throughout Central Texas, it won’t be hard to hit up Smokey Mo’s on Friday, November 11. The barbecue chain is offering one free breakfast taco to veterans from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Texas Roadhouse

This popular San Antonio favorite understands there’s multiple Veterans Day specials to take advantage of. Luckily for vets, Texas Roadhouse will hand out dinner vouchers on Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Veterans then have until the end of May 2023 to use the voucher, good for an entree and two sides and a beverage.

Pluckers

The wait will be worth it for some free grub at Pluckers. The Austin-based chain is offering veterans and active duty military a free meal plus a side and non-alcoholic drink at all Pluckers locations. A valid military ID is needed.

San Antonio Zoo

The city’s zoo is really giving back to veterans. Through the month of November, the San Antonio Zoo is giving active duty, retired, and veteran members of all military branches and the National Guard free admission. Four guests can also get half-off admission. Once Zoo Lights opens on November 19, military members can also enjoy free admission to the holiday attraction.

Local McDonald’s restaurants want veterans and active duty service members to start the day off right. A free breakfast combo meal will be given to those with a valid ID. Participating restaurants will offer the deal between 6 and 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
