SAN ANTONIO — A 39-year-old man wielding an AR-15 was shot and killed by a Bexar County deputy after a domestic disturbance call devolved into late-night gunfire on the far north side Tuesday, officials say. Neither of the deputies who responded to the 3000 block of Forsythia shortly before 10 p.m. were injured in the incident.

A toddler has died after they were shot in the head by a gun that fell off a shelf, police say. A father took his 2-year-old son to CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital around 3:14 a.m. Thursday and told the hospital staff that the toddler had been shot at their west-side home on the 9900 block of Kents Store.
