Black Rock Coffee Bar to open first San Antonio location – mySA

San Antonio’s first installment of Black Rock Coffee Bar (not to be confused with Black Rifle Coffee Company) is brewing up a grand opening with free drinks. The Blanco Road shop is the first of a few planned Black Rock Coffee Bar shops to open in San Antonio.

On August 5, the location will mark the San Antonio introduction with free drinks from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. The shop is located at 11701 Blanco Rd, San Antonio, TX 78216.

“No one wants to miss this,” online promotions of the giveaway say.

The chain of boutique coffee bars launched in Portland in 2008, according to a news release. The coffee bar’s menu is broken down into favorites, classics, chillers, energy drinks, coffeeless drinks, and “Lil Rockers,” which are kid-friendly options, according to the menu.

“Black Rock Coffee Bar specializes in delicious coffee, energy drinks, smoothies, and teas,” the company states online in announcing the San Antonio opening. “We take pride in serving our communities and being more than just a place for coffee. We are a place for connection, and we can’t wait to connect with all of you!”

Black Rock Coffee Bar also has plans filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for shops at 13980 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio, TX 78233 and 14635 Huebner Rd, San Antonio, TX 78230.

Earlier this week, the social media team for the coffee company told fans who were asking about the status of the Nacogdoches store that it is opening “very soon,” but a date has not been set.

Filings show the company is also working on locations in Plano, Houston, Hutto, Georgetown, and Kyle to add to its network of locations spanning the West Coast, Idaho, and Colorado.
