On a per-share basis, the Phoenix-based company said it had net income of $11.11. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were $12.13 per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $13.41 per share.

The telecommunications company posted revenue of $429.1 million in the period, which also missed Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $431.5 million.

Cable One shares have declined 18% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $1,441.80, a drop of 26% in the last 12 months.
