On a per-share basis, the Independence, Ohio-based company said it had net income of 60 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and to account for discontinued operations, came to 63 cents per share.
The provider of outsourced business services posted revenue of $362 million in the period.
CBIZ expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.08 to $2.11 per share.
CBIZ shares have risen 11% since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 40% in the last 12 months.
