San Antonio’s Alamodome will no doubt be as loud as ever when a Latin Grammy award-winning group is set to stop by this fall. Grupo Firme is going on tour and has plans to bring a “high-energy performance” to its San Antonio date.

The regional Mexican group, which proudly represents Tijuana, has plans to perform in San Antonio on November 19 as part of its 2022 Enfiestados y Amanecidos tour. Grupo Firme is young, but mighty, only gaining fame but quickly selling out venues early last year.

“This show is completely revamped,” says lead singer Eduin Caz in a press release. “It’ll bring the essence of each of us. We all have our ways and so we’re hoping to translate that on stage.”

The San Antonio show will feature some of the culture beloved by the city, such as folklórico dancers to accompany the band. Grupo Firme promises to play some banda, Norteño, and mariachi sounds as well.

“It’s going to be a Mexican party in San Antonio,” Caz adds. Go ahead and start practicing your grito now, San Antonio.

Hits from Grupo Firme include “Ya Supérame (En Vivo),” “El Tóxico,” and “En Tu Perra Vida.” The band also has a new song, a collaboration with Maluma, called “Cada Quién.”

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 14 and can be purchased at ticketmaster.com.
