One of heavy metal’s all-time greats will be gracing San Antonio’s new Tech Port Center + Arena this fall season. Fresh off their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, band members Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, Ian Hill, and Scott Travis of Judas Priest will be rocking into the Alamo City next week.

That’s right Alamo City heavy metal enthusiast. The band announced the launch of a new North American fall tour on Tuesday, November 15. The City of San Antonio will have two separate opportunities to see the legends in two heart pounding performances on Tuesday, November 22 and Wednesday, November 23.

Celebrating their “50th anniversary again” this year, Judas Priest and the 50 Heavy Metal Years Tour will feature American heavy metal standouts Queensrÿche as openers, according to a release shared with MySA.

Fueled by the highest charting album of their 53-year long career, Judas Priest will be rocking out the Tech Port Center + Arena with tunes from their 2018 album, Firepower, which peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, the release added. Queensrÿche is no slouch either when it comes to topping the charts after selling over 30 million albums worldwide.

Presale tickets for both shows already went out late in June, so San Antonio residents will want to grab tickets as soon as possible to not miss out on seeing heavy metal royalty.
