Since releasing its self-titled debut album in 1987, Maná has sold millions of albums, sold out countless venues and won four Grammy Awards, sealing its reputation as one of the most popular and influential Latin rock acts of all time. Its big hits include “Oye Mi Amor,” from the classic 1992 album “¿Dónde Jugarán Los Niños?”, “Amor Clandestino” and “Mi Verdad” with Shakira.

The band’s latest single is “Te Llore Un Rio” with Christian Nodal, one of a series of collaborations on past hits.

Maná’s most recent San Antonio concert was in 2019, also at the AT&T Center.

Before that show, drummer Alex González talked to staff writer Joey Guerra about the band’s ongoing popularity.

“One of the things that has really helped the longevity of our music is it’s been passed down from generation to generation,” Gonzalez said. “I see it now with kids who are 10 or 11 years old discovering the Beatles. They don’t exist anymore, but their music will live a lifetime. The cool thing is that we’re still around and we can still play and we can still tour. Maybe these kids are seeing us now when they’re 12, 14, 15 years of age, and their parents saw us when they were teenagers. That’s the power of music.”
