SAN ANTONIO — A 2-year-old girl was shot and killed in an apparent drive-by on the north side Monday afternoon, officials say, and the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) is still searching for the shooter.

A woman who was accused of stealing a machine gun from a shooting range on Friday has been arrested, according to an arrest affidavit. Amber Nicole Herring, 25, was taken into custody by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office on Monday.
