Paul Anthony Golibart was born on October 6, 1962 in San Antonio, Texas.

Paul passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 6, 2022 doing what he loved. He spent his childhood years in Pettus, Texas where he grew up in the South Texas Children’s Home. This turned out to be a huge influence in Paul’s life and laid the foundation for his generous philanthropy as an adult.

As a young boy, Paul excelled in all outdoor activities and sports, including basketball, football and pole vaulting. His passionate proficiency for pole vaulting resulted in scholarships to McMurry University and Texas State University. His love for this sport didn’t stop in college. Paul continued to pole vault, competing in, and often winning, tournaments all over the world.

Paul was an innovative entrepreneur and had a number of successful ventures, primarily in the telecom industry.

His motivation and drive to succeed made him a force in the business world, but it was his relationships with others that were most important to him. Paul had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone, including people he didn’t know well. His ability to make friends wherever he went was a gift like no other.

Paul had abundant energy and lived life to the fullest. He was constantly busy, ready to tackle anything with his hands, and enjoyed a number of hobbies including rebuilding old cars, jet skiing, and touring the country on his motorcycle. He loved a good laugh and always enjoyed pranking his family and friends.

Paul loved to travel and wanted to see and experience as many new things as he could. His adventures took him all over the world, but his favorite spot was at his family cabin in Hunt, Texas. It was here that he spent the best of times with his family, good friends and beloved dogs, Harry and Harvey.

Paul was a loving husband, devoted father, and dedicated friend.

He is survived by his wife, Tifini, and his children Garrett, Brooklyn, Tatum and Ella. He is also survived by his brother Joe Golibart III and wife, Teri; brother Mike Golibart and wife, Diana; brother Doug Golibart; sister Verniece “Nan” Creech and husband, Jim; niece Danielle Golibart and great-nephew Grayson James Golibart; and nephew, Thomas Creech.
