SAN ANTONIO — CPS Energy crews are making repairs to a gas line in far-northwest San Antonio after it was struck by a contractor Thursday afternoon, resulting in a leak and causing gas to blow on a nearby power line.
A utility spokesperson said electricity was turned off as a precaution for about 2,000 homes in the area of Galm and Park roads, near Government Canyon State Natural Area. CPS Energy’s online outage map indicates 2,063 customers remain without power as of 4 p.m.
CPS Energy has not provided a timetable for when the repairs will be made.
