H-E-B was already past just grabbing groceries and everyday essentials, but now Austin residents can get their wellness checkup from licensed physicians and nurses at new primary care clinics.

Two new H-E-B Wellness Primary Care clinics launched in Austin this month, the San Antonio-based grocer announced Thursday, with the most recent 4,000-square-foot clinic opening at 8601 S Congress Avenue, Suite 100. A second clinic opened on May 5 at 19368 Ronald Reagan Boulevard, Suite 100.

Texans ages 12 and up can get access to primary care services, physical therapy, health/nutrition coaching, clinical pharmacists, specialty referrals and labs, according to a news release. People can also meet with registered dietitians with a food-first philosophy to help build out a nutrition plan.

The facilities will treat minor to moderate injuries and illnesses.

No insurance is necessary and instead patients can pay fixed prices as low as $60 for virtual sessions to as much as $80 for its “Stay Well” visits. Services and pricing can be viewed here.

San Antonio already has four H-E-B Wellness Primary Care clinics on the Northside, according to its website. H-E-B has been expanding its presence across Texas in the past two years, focusing primarily on moving into cities surrounding the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

But the company isn’t forgetting the San Antonio area. The grocer filed a construction permit this week for a 110,000-square-foot warehouse on the Northeast Side for pharmacy products.
