Small plane crashes into Lady Bird Lake, pilot rescued by paddle-boarders

A two-seater plane containing one person went down in Lady Bird Lake, according to Austin-Travis County EMS. The person was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center with “potentially serious injuries,” ATCEMS says.

KXAN reported that paddle-boarders rescued the pilot after the crash, which occurred Thursday afternoon just after 2 p.m. near I-35. That information, according to the network, came from Austin PD.
