The California-based beverage company, Sovereign Flavors, is set to begin construction in Central Texas starting in early 2023. The company is set to move its headquarters to Kyle and begin construction in February, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) filing.

The new facility will be located at Farm to Market Road 1626, Kyle, TX 78640. Construction is expected to begin on February 1, 2023 with an expected completion date of December 1, 2023. The $8.5 million price tag will cover the scope of the work on the 35,401-square-foot building that includes a new office, production, and a warehouse facility with associated site work, according to the TDLR filing.

Sovereign Flavors is currently headquartered in Santa Ana, California. The company makes custom flavor formulas for its clientele that want to create new drinks, dairy nutritional bars, herbal supplements, and sports drinks. The products are sold throughout national retailers like BJ’s, Costco Wholesale, Kroger, Publix, Walmart, Winco Foods, and more, according to the Sovereign Flavors website.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott previously said that Sovereign Flavors would be adding a new 80,000-square-foot corporate headquarters in Kyle, which is roughly 20 miles south of Austin. He added that the facility will have the company’s manufacturing, quality assurance, research and development.

MySA reached out to Sovereign Flavors for a comment on the move to Kyle and how many jobs the facility will create for the area.
