 SEL3 URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 233 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 610 PM CDT Mon May 16 2022 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Oklahoma Panhandle Texas Panhandle * Effective this Monday night and Tuesday morning from 610 PM until 100 AM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...Isolated intense thunderstorms continue to form over eastern New Mexico. This activity will track eastward into west Texas this evening. The strongest cells will pose a threat of damaging winds and hail. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 80 statute miles east and west of a line from 20 miles north of Guymon OK to 15 miles southeast of Lubbock TX.
