San Antonio’s first real cold front will move through South Central Texas and San Antonio on Friday, dropping temperatures into the 40s and 50s, according to the National Weather Service. 

Expect a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon on Friday, with temperatures rising to near 71 degrees before dropping to about 57 for the remainder of the day. San Antonio could see about a half to three quarters of an inch of rainfall, the agency said.

The overnight low in San Antonio is expected to be around 42. The high on Saturday and Sunday is forecasted to be 61 on both days. 

Isolated areas in the Hill Country could see a freeze Saturday and/or Sunday morning as overnight temps are expected to dip to near freezing levels in the Hill Country, according to NWS.

A 20 percent chance of rain is in the forecast for Sunday night into Monday morning.
