SAN ANTONIO — The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect believed to be armed and dangerous.

The department wrote on Facebook that there is an active scene in the 400 block of Riverdale Road near Roanoke on the west side. Our KENS 5 crew is at the scene waiting to gather more information.

Authorities did say that deputies were chasing a vehicle when the suspects got out and ran. Three of them were detained, but one is still at large.

They reportedly have black curly hair and were wearing black pants and a black hoodie. They are believed to be dangerous.

“All residents in this area please remain indoors until an update is provided. If any one in this area sees any suspicious activity, please immediately call 210-335-6000 to report,” they wrote on Facebook.

Huppertz Elementary nearby was placed on a brief lockdown. District officers lifted the lockdown around 3:15 p.m. on Monday. However, officers will remain on campus as school lets out.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
