A Texas man allegedly stalked and killed a Washington state podcast host and her husband in a home invasion on Friday, March 10, according to a  report from NBC News. The man reportedly was a listener and became obsessed with the podcast host.

Redmond Police said the Texas truck driver broke into the couple’s home in Redmond, Washington around 2 a.m. Police said the podcaster’s mother escaped and called 911. However, when the police arrived, they found the woman and her husband with gunshot wounds. The two died from their injuries, while the shooter died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The shooter was identified as Ramin Khodakaramrezaei, 38, according to a report from the Daily Mail. Police said the podcaster was Zohreh Sadeghi, 33, and her husband was Mohammed Naseri, 35.

Officials did not release the name of the podcast but said the shooter had been stalking Sadeghi for “many months.” Police said the shooter got to know her through the podcast and started a friendship. However, police said he began to send a lot of messages to the point that Sadeghi decided to disengage and obtained a restraining order.

Police said officers could not serve the man because they could not find him and make contact. It’s unclear how long he was in Washington.

“It’s just unfortunate that the stalking ended in such a tragic way,” Redmond police spokesperson Jill Green said.
