The towns and neighborhoods within the San Antonio and New Braunfels area once again put the Alamo City near the top of a new list of Texas cities with steep home prices. This time its eight towns within the area that have some of the fastest-growing home prices that puts San Antonio-New Braunfels in the No. 3 spot below Austin-Round Rock and Dallas-Fort Worth respectively.

Stacker compiled a total of 50 Texas towns with the fastest growing home prices across six metro areas using 12 months of data from Zillow. Some of the towns and neighborhoods that appeared in an August Stacker list on most expensive homes show up again on this list. The rising prices are a result of the homebuying market slowing down.
