After the weather’s spring sneak preview over the weekend, some San Antonio residents are waking up to slightly cooler-than-usual temperatures on Monday, March 13. A few rain clouds are also accompanying the colder weather as residents struggle to adjust their sleep schedules following Daylight Saving’s, according to the National Weather Service.

While the temperatures aren’t taking home any golden statues for coldest temperatures, the slight cold front is bringing low to mid 50 and low 70s to San Antonio and parts of the Texas Hill Country. The cooler weather will continue to send San Antonio residents into their closets for a light jacket in the mornings into Tuesday, March 14 and Wednesday, March 15.

Tuesday morning are expected to bring partly-cloudy weather with low temperatures of mid to high 40s and will warm up to reach highs in the mid 60s with a chance of rain. Wednesday has more of the same with slightly warmer temperatures in the afternoon. Temperatures will increase slightly on Thursday, March 16, bringing thunderstorms to parts of South-Central Texas, according to the NWS.

Thunderstorms are expected to bring another jump in cold weather to the area in time for St. Patrick’s Day. However, temperatures won’t let up on Saturday, March 18 putting a slight damper in holiday plans with temperatures plummeting into the 30s and 40s with lows in the mid 50s making for a chilly weekend, according to the NWS.
