SAN ANTONIO — More than 40 engines and about 100 firefighters responded to a north San Antonio apartment building to rescue residents from flames and smoke. Two were hospitalized with smoke inhalation and were in critical condition as of Tuesday night. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. San Antonio Fire Department Chief Charles Hood said crews arrived shortly before 9 p.m. to Blanco Apartments
On the heels of last week’s deadly dog mauling, KENS 5 has learned about another dog attack that sent a San Antonio woman to the hospital. It happened at about 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22. Linda Lackey says she was walking her dog, named Baby, near Hillman Drive and Dauphine Drive.
