Two people in critical condition after shooting on San Antonio’s Eastside

Detectives with the San Antonio Police Department are investigating a double shooting on San Antonio’s Eastside that left two people in critical condition.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting located in a neighborhood at the 4600 block of La Route and Channel View just before 9 p.m. on Monday, February 27. 

Police say three men were parked in front of a house when another car pulled up and began shooting. The driver of the vehicle in front of the house got out of the car and returned fire at the passengers inside the other vehicle. An 18-year-old was hit once by gunfire and a 29-year-old was shot at twice.

The two people who were shot were taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) for treatment, according to the police.

Officials with the San Antonio Police Department have no additional information on the suspects, or the men involved in the incident. The injured men are not being completely cooperative with the police investigation, according to investigators.

So far, there are no updates on the conditions of the injured men and no arrests have been made.
