Gunfire during a hangout on San Antonio’s east side leaves one man dead and a woman injured.
SAN ANTONIO — A man is dead after a hangout between three people erupted in gunfire on the east side Sunday night, according to San Antonio authorities.
SAPD was called to a shooting around 11:40 p.m. near Jenull Avenue and Monson Street.
Police said a man and woman in their 30’s were hanging out in an empty lot with another man. Investigators believe something happened and the suspect shot the man several times. The woman was also hit in the hand.
Authorities said the woman was taken to a hospital in stable condition and the man was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.
This is the second shooting in months in the same area but police have not connected the incidents.
Police said they don’t know if the suspect fled on foot or by vehicle but they do know who they are looking for.
