
No other injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Fire Department has confirmed that a person was hospitalized in critical condition after a fire broke out at a northeast-side apartment complex.
Around 8 p.m., SAFD responded to the 4800 block of Goldfield Drive after receiving reports of a fire at the New Horizon Apartment complex.
Officials said the fire was on the first floor of the building and as fire crews made an “aggressive interior attack,” the located and rescued one occupant.
The individual was reportedly taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
SAFD said they were able to contain the fire in under 15 minutes and avoided any extension to other apartments.
No other injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
