1 hurt in stabbing in southeast SA, officials say; victim has life-threatening injuries

Authorities said the victim wasn’t cooperating with law enforcement.

SAN ANTONIO — A young man was hospitalized in critical condition after an apparent stabbing in southeast San Antonio, police officials say.

According to authorities, a good Samaritan called police when he found the unidentified victim at a Dollar Tree near Goliad and Pecan Valley on Friday afternoon. First responders arrived shortly after and started tending to him, but police say he “wasn’t very cooperative.”

Law enforcement don’t believe the stabbing happened at the store, but they added he was stabbed once in the rib cage.

Police say no weapon has been found at the scene, and there’s no one in custody as of 3:15 p.m.
