DALLAS — A man died after a Friday night shooting at a CVS store in downtown Dallas, according to Dallas police.

The Dallas Police Department (DPD) told WFAA that officers responded at approximately 11:05 p.m. Friday for a shooting call in the 1400 block of Main Street. When officers got there, they found a man had been shot.

The man, later identified as Anthony Egeonu, 39, was transported by Dallas Fire-Rescue to a local hospital, where he died, DPD said.

According to DPD, two juvenile suspects were taken into custody in connection to the shooting, but their names will not be released due to their age.

The investigation is ongoing, DPD said.

WFAA reached out to CVS for a statement, and received the following:

“We’re cooperating with Dallas police as they investigate the incident that occurred at our Main Street store last night. The store and pharmacy are open today. The victim was employed by a third-party security company.”
