SAPD arrived to the scene around 6:20 p.m., saying an argument between teenagers devolved into violence.
SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio authorities say an “ongoing problem between several teenagers” devolved into violence at a Dollar Tree near West Commerce and South General McMullen on Monday night, where police arrived to find a 17-year-old female shot multiple times.
That victim was in “serious” condition as of Tuesday morning, officials said, while a 15-year-old male being treated for a “stab wound to the head” at the downtown children’s hospital is believed to have been the gunman.
Police said it appeared an argument unfolded in the west-side store before the violence broke out around 6:19 p.m. But it’s unknown if any weapons were recovered at the scene. A sizeable contingent of SAPD personnel were seen combing through the Dollar Tree for clues.
It also remains unclear who may have stabbed the supposed suspect.
