10-year-old girl struck by gunfire in northwest-side road rage shooting; SAPD seeking suspect

SAPD said a child riding in the backseat of a car was struck and rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

SAN ANTONIO — There is a very active scene on the city’s northwest side where San Antonio police are responding to reports of a road rage shooting involving a child.

A heavy police presence gathered at the 2500 block of Bandera Road Friday morning around 7:30 a.m. where officers responded to call for a shooting in progress.

Police confirmed a 10-year-old girl was struck in the abdomen and hospitalized in critical condition. A search is underway for a male suspect, investigators said.
