$100k reward offered by Crime Stoppers for information on the 2018 shooting death of a 25-year-old

SAN ANTONIO — Crime Stoppers is increasing their reward to find a person responsible for the death of a man shot and killed five years ago on the city’s west side.

The incident took place on Stonegate Drive near St. Mary’s University back on November 9, 2018.

Officials say 25-year-old Oscar Thompson was driving a friend home when someone fired multiple shots at him. Thompson was struck, lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a utility pole.

Thompson later died from his injuries seven days later.

Police are looking for a maroon Ford Expedition in connection to the case that was last seen leaving Sugar’s nightclub.

Crime Stoppers have raised the reward to $100,000 for information leading to an arrest.
