
SAPD said a child was hospitalized with a major laceration after crashing his dirt bike into a 42-year-old woman Thursday evening on the city’s southwest side.
SAN ANTONIO — A 12-year-old boy suffered injuries after crashing his dirt bike into a 42-year-old woman Thursday evening on the city’s southwest side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Police said officers were dispatched around 6:48 p.m. to the 8700 block of Five Palms Drive for a major accident.
According to SAPD, the boy was riding his dirt bike when he crashed into the woman while making a left turn onto Rain Dance Road. The woman told officers she did not see the boy until the collision occurred.
The 12-year-old sustained a major laceration to his upper body and was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. San Antonio police said his injuries were considered non-life-threatening.
The incident remains under investigation.
