SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police are investigating an aggravated assault involving a deadly weapon after a 12-year-old boy was injured while attempting to intervene in a domestic dispute late Friday night.
Officers were dispatched to a reported cutting in the 600 block of Blueridge around 11:35 p.m., according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Police say a 20-year-old man became involved in an argument with his significant other and allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife during the confrontation. Investigators say the 12-year-old complainant attempted to step in to stop the situation and was cut on the hand.
The child’s injury was not considered life-threatening, police said.
No names have been released, and it is unclear whether any arrests have been made. The investigation remains active and ongoing, and details may change as officers continue to gather information.
