14-year-old boy dies after being thrown out of SUV that was doing donuts, BCSO says

The 16-year-old driver is facing charges of manslaughter and injury to a child.

SAN ANTONIO — Bexar County deputies say there was a total of six teens inside a vehicle doing donuts when the driver lost control of the SUV.

The incident happened at around 12:35 a.m. Saturday morning off Zigmont Road near F.M. 1346 & 1604 in east Bexar County.

Deputies say the teens were driving on private property when the driver began doing donuts, somehow lost control and ended up flipping the SUV over.

A 14-year-old was thrown out of the SUV, and deputies say he was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Investigators say there were five other teens inside the vehicle.  The 16-year-old driver, two 17-year-olds, and two other 14-year-olds.

Deputies are not releasing the name of the teenager who died because he is a juvenile and according to deputies, the 16-year-old driver was arrested.

Deputies say the 16-year-old driver now faces charges of manslaughter and injury to a child.
