
Officers say the teen was riding an electric scooter when an unknown suspect confronted him, leading to a physical altercation and gunfire.
SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police are investigating the murder of a 14-year-old boy who was shot and killed Sunday night on the city’s northeast side.
Officers were called to the 4700 block of Georges Farms near North Foster Road around 7:51 p.m. for reports of a shooting in progress.
According to police, the teen was riding an electric scooter with a friend in the area. Investigators say that after the two began walking, the victim was confronted and attacked by an unknown suspect.
A physical altercation followed, police said, before the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the teen in the upper body.
The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
SAPD officers, along with Eagle helicopter support, searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the shooter.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He has been identified as Isaias Trevino.
Police have not released any suspect description, and the investigation remains ongoing.
