16-year-old boy hospitalized in critical condition after drive-by shooting in west San Antonio, officials say

SAN ANTONIO — A 16-year-old boy is fighting for his life Tuesday night after a shooting on the west side.

Around 9:11 p.m., authorities responded to the intersection of North Spring Street and Gould Street after receiving reports of a shooting.

Preliminary reports from SAFD suggest one victim was hospitalized in critical condition.

Officials said the teen told them he was shot by someone driving by in a black car before being transported for the injuries to his thigh.

Officials have yet to give any information regarding a suspect in this case.

This is an ongoing investigation.
