16-year-old shot multiple times just northeast of downtown

Two people pulled up on the teen and started shooting at him before driving off. Officials are still looking for the suspects.

SAN ANTONIO — A 16-year-old boy is recovering from multiple gunshot wounds after a shooting just northeast of downtown, San Antonio police say.

The boy was in the parking lot of an apartment complex located on the 500 block of Burleson Street. A vehicle then pulled up and two people started shooting at the teen with a handgun and AR-15. The vehicle then sped off.

The teen was shot twice in the torso and once in the arm. He was taken to a local hospital.

Detectives are still investigating what led up to the incident and haven’t released any information on the suspects or getaway vehicle.
