18-wheeler crash shuts down traffic on far South Side

SAN ANTONIO – Traffic on the far South Side is at a standstill as of 11 a.m. on Wednesday after an 18-wheeler crash on I-37 near Pleasanton.

Transguide officials say the crash happened before 10 a.m. along the E. State Highway 97 overpass past Presleano Creek.

The driver of an 18-wheeler crashed on SH 97 and went off the highway, and landed on the southbound lanes of I-37.

Emergency officials shut down the southbound main lanes of I-37 and are redirecting traffic off SH 97.

Officials have not said if there were any injuries or how many vehicles were involved in the crash. The crash is delaying traffic to FM 3006. Stay with KSAT for more information throughout the day.
