The box blocked both lanes of the access road and it will be closed until they figure out how to to tow the wreckage from the scene.
SAN ANTONIO — An 18-wheeler rollover crash on the northeast side of town has traffic backed up for quite a ways as officials work to clear the scene.
The I-35 access road between Rittiman Road and Eisenhauer Road has been closed since the crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. Thursday.
Police said the 18-wheeler was turning onto the access road when the load shifted inside the truck, causing the box to roll off of the axle frame.
The box blocked both lanes of the access road and it will be closed until they figure out how to to tow the wreckage from the scene.
No injuries were reported.
