A rollover crash involving an 18-wheeler has closed southbound lanes of I-35 near New Laredo Highway early Thursday morning.
SAN ANTONIO — Drivers on the southwest side of San Antonio faced major delays early Thursday after an 18-wheeler rollover shut down part of Interstate 35.
The crash was reported just before 1:30 a.m. on the southbound lanes of I-35 at New Laredo Highway, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
Officials said the southbound lanes will be closed while crews respond to the scene and work to clear the crash.
Transportation officials warned the highway could remain closed for several hours as cleanup continues.
Drivers traveling through the area are being asked to take alternate routes while crews work to reopen the roadway.
