18-year-old man accused in Bexar County teen’s death confirmed dead, BCSO says

Officials did not provide details on how or when he died.

SAN ANTONIO — An 18-year-old suspect accused in the killing of a teenage girl at a house party in southwest Bexar County is now dead, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies previously identified Deshawn Suggs, 18, as the suspect in the death of 17-year-old Alianna Ujueta, who was shot and then run over during a gathering in the 13000 block of Luckey Road on Sept. 28, 2025.

The sheriff’s office confirmed Sunday evening in a social media post that Suggs is no longer wanted and has been confirmed deceased. Officials did not provide details on how or when he died.

At the time of the investigation, Suggs had not been located, prompting authorities to issue a Crime Stoppers reward for information that could lead to his identification and whereabouts.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to the 13900 block of Luckey Road early the morning of Sept. 28 after receiving reports of a shooting in progress. Investigators said a fight broke out at a house party and spilled onto the street, where gunshots were fired.

A witness told deputies they saw a girl later identified as Ujueta lying motionless in the roadway before she was run over by a fleeing vehicle described as a black pickup truck.

First responders found Ujueta with a gunshot wound to the head, officials said at the time. Despite life-saving efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office later ruled her death a homicide.

The sheriff’s office has not released additional details about the investigation following confirmation of Suggs’ death.
