2 airlifted in critical condition after major crash involving Pleasanton ISD school bus in south Bexar County

Two individuals have been airlifted after a major crash involving a Pleasanton ISD school bus with more than 40 students aboard, police say.

SAN ANTONIO — Pleasanton ISD has confirmed a school bus with students inside was involved in a major accident Thursday afternoon.

Around 5 p.m., officials responded to the 2100 block of Second Street after receiving reports of a major accident involving a school bus.

Preliminary reports form the district suggests all of the over 40 students and the bus driver are “fine.”

But Pleasanton police say the driver and passenger of the small sedan involved in the crash were airlifted to San Antonio hospitals in critical condition.

Pleasanton ISD’s Super Intendent Cheryl Barron said the reunification center is set up at Pleasanton Primary.
