
The Bullock Texas State History Museum and National Museum of the Pacific War were both recognized as among the best in the country.
AUSTIN, Texas — Two museums in Central Texas are receiving recognition as being among the best history museums in the United States.
A new list published by USA Today ranked two Central Texas museums – the National Museum of the Pacific War and the Bullock Texas State History Museum – on its list of the 10 best history museums in the US.
The National Museum of the Pacific War, located on East Austin Street in Fredericksburg, was ranked No. 6 on the list, with the publication crediting it for its “immersive and interactive exhibits” and “comprehensive and in-depth exploration of the Pacific theater during World War II.”
The Bullock Texas State History Museum, located in Downtown Austin on Congress Avenue, was ranked No. 10, with USA Today crediting the museum for spotlighting “the state’s cultural heritage through immersive exhibits, films and programs.”
