Texas City PD Capt. Manuel Johnson said a man and a woman were found shot to death on the dike on Thursday evening.
TEXAS CITY, Texas — Police were investigating on Thursday night after two people were found dead on the Texas City Dike.
Texas City police said a man and woman were found dead near a car that was parked about 4 miles out on the 5-mile dike.
Investigators said one person was found dead outside of the car and the other person was dead inside.
They were called out to the scene around 5:30 p.m.
Dike Road was closed from the 4-mile marker to the end of the dike as police investigated.
According to Capt. Manuel Johnson, no one witnessed the shootings.
