SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police department says two people have been hospitalized after a car crashed into a motorcycle on the northwest side.
Around 4:30 p.m., SAPD responded to the intersection of Pin Oak Drive and Oakdale after receiving reports of a crash involving a motorcycle.
Police say that two people on a motorcycle were speeding down Pin Oak as a driver was making a left turn off Oakdale. Police say the motorcyclist “laid down his bike” causing both the 24-year-old driver and his 13-year-old passenger to slide. The driver reportedly hit the motorcycle after both riders were already off the bike. Neither of the victims were wearing helmets.
The driver of the motorcycle sustained a head injury while the female passenger possibly broke her femur, and both were hospitalized in serious condition.
The driver of the vehicle involved stayed on the scene and is reportedly cooperating with police. No charges are expected to be filed against the driver.
