2 hospitalized after rollover crash south of downtown San Antonio, police say

SAPD said a vehicle lost control, struck a curb and flipped over.

SAN ANTONIO — Two people were hospitalized after a rollover crash late Sunday morning at an intersection just south of downtown San Antonio, according to police.

SAPD said officers were called to the scene at South Flores Street and West Mitchell Street just before noon for a reported single-vehicle crash. Investigators said a vehicle traveling southbound on South Flores lost control, struck a curb and flipped over.

Officials said two occupants were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. Both were transported to hospitals for treatment, though police did not immediately release details about their injuries.

Traffic in the area was impacted while crews worked to remove the overturned vehicle. Police said South Flores would reopen once the vehicle was cleared from the roadway.

This is a developing story.
