2 hospitalized after ‘serious’ motorcycle crash in San Antonio

Two have been hospitalized in “serious” condition after hopping off their motorcycle just before colliding with a vehicle on the northwest side.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police department says two people have been hospitalized after a car crashed into a motorcycle on the northwest side.

Around 4:30 p.m., SAPD responded to the intersection of Pin Oak Drive and Oakdale after receiving reports of a crash involving a motorcycle.

Preliminary reports show that the as the motorcycle was traveling down Pin Oak, a driver was making a turn off Oakdale. Before the crash occurred, police say the motorcyclist “laid down his bike” causing both he and his passenger to slide. The driver reportedly hit the motorcycle after both riders were already off the bike.

The driver of the motorcycle sustained a head injury while the female passenger possibly broke her femur, and both were hospitalized in “serious” condition.

The driver of the vehicle involved stayed on the scene and is reportedly cooperating with police.
