SAN ANTONIO — Two men are in custody after an hourslong standoff at a northwest-side apartment Thursday, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

SAPD was called to a vacant apartment complex on the 3500 block of Pinn Oak Drive just before 11 a.m., after a man working at the apartments reported that he’d been robbed at gunpoint.

Investigators said the suspects barricaded themselves inside a vacant apartment and refused to come out. Police surrounded the building and negotiators attempted to talk with the suspects using a loudspeaker.

Police confirmed two men were eventually detained but did not say if they are the same suspects accused in the robbery.

Shortly afterwards, SWAT officers were working to clear the building.

No further information has been provided at this time.
