SAN ANTONIO — Two people are dead after being hit early Saturday morning, according to police.
San Antonio police were called to the 6600 block of US Highway 90 at about 4:49 a.m. Once there, they found a man and a woman lying in the roadway unresponsive. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
After investigation, police determined that the two victims were trying to cross the highway where “pedestrians are not allowed.” A driver was driving eastbound on US 90 and was unable to avoid the two victims, hitting both of them. Police say a second driver, also driving eastbound, was also unable to avoid the pedestrians and hit one of them a second time.
Both drivers remained at the scene and aren’t expected to be facing any criminal charges.
The victims are yet to be identified.
