2 women bitten by dog on west side, SAPD says

​According to SAPD, it is unclear if anyone will face charges.

SAN ANTONIO — Two women were bitten by a dog on the west side Sunday afternoon, according to the San Antonio Police Department. 

Emergency responders were called to the 100 block of Northwest 36th Street around 5 p.m. 

Police said two women in their 30s were bitten by a dog. One was bitten on the arm and stomach, the other on the back of the leg. The injuries were not life-threatening.

The victims went to the hospital on their own and were not transported by EMS. 

Police said the dog is contained and they are waiting for ACS to arrive and take custody of the animal. Multiple dogs were seen on the loose in the neighborhood but only one dog was involved in the attack. 

According to SAPD, it is unclear if anyone will face charges.
