
San Antonio police say a 20-year-old driver died after losing control of a Corvette on Interstate 37 early Monday morning.
SAN ANTONIO — A 20-year-old man was killed in a crash early Monday morning on the south side of San Antonio, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Officers were called around 2:05 a.m. to southbound Interstate 37 near Carolina Street for a crash involving a Corvette.
Police said the driver lost control while traveling in the southbound lanes. The vehicle went through a guardrail and down an embankment before landing on the ramp connecting Carolina Street to the interstate.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
A female passenger in the vehicle was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
San Antonio police said the department’s Traffic Investigations Division is looking into the crash. Firefighters and EMS crews also responded.
